Meeting Mahatma Gandhi
Hey ... I am back in London again.
On our way to Adam's office at University College London (UCL) today, we stopped to visit the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Tavistock Square. Gandhi is one of UCL's most famous graduates, and his statue become even more significant in 2005 as a symbol of peace because one of the terrorist bomb attacks on London's public transport occurred nearby (in fact, a UCL cleaner on her way home was killed). You can see the flowers that people leave, both those who wish to remember one of history's greatest individuals as well as the victims of the 07/07 attacks.
